Oh, my.
This morning's psalm for the Daily Office is Ps. 69:
Save me, O God,
for the waters have risen up to my neck.
I am sinking in deep mire,
and there is no firm ground for my feet.
I have come into deep waters,
and the torrent washes over me.
Save me, O God,
for the waters have risen up to my neck.
I am sinking in deep mire,
and there is no firm ground for my feet.
I have come into deep waters,
and the torrent washes over me.

I've always thought the psalms mirror our lives more than we think... but that's not what I was hoping for!
I've been thinking about and praying for you guys!
I'm an old buddy of "Merely Human" from VA, and I cruise by your blog on occasion. It may not count for much, but y'all (both in Iowa and Wisconsin) are in my thoughts and prayers as well.
Brad wrote that "the play must go on" and all systems are go. I contacted the B&B and they are open for business, so the plan is still to be in Iowa City on July 5. It will be great to see you.
Its amazing how appropriate the psalter can be at any given time.
